Library amnesty period starts June 10th
Got library fines? The El Paso Public Library will erase those fines starting June 10th for anyone who signs up for Summer Reading Club so long as their library materials have been returned. It’s part of a Read Down Your Fines program designed to give kids as well as adults the opportunity to come back to the library.
Everyone gets library fines but that doesn’t mean you should stop using the library. EPPL offers a vast array of services that will keep kids engaged in learning over the summer. Studies show that children who remain active in learning go on to greater success in school and in life. The library encourages learning by providing hundreds of free, fun and educational programs over the summer as part of Summer Reading Club. The best part is it’s all free!
The Amnesty period run from June 10th and August 5th. To sign up, simply go to any branch library and ask about registering for Summer Reading Club. Once you’ve registered, take your registration form to the circulation desk and tell them you want amnesty. Then check out books and start reading.
