El Paso Public Library was designated a Federal Depository in 1906 and is part of the Federal Depository Library Program. It is a selective Federal Depository and receives 35% of the documents the Government Publishing Office (GPO) produces.
EPPL’s Government Documents department has in its collection a variety of federal material from the GPO, including books, magazines, DVD’s/CD’s, pamphlets, maps and the catalog records for online documents.
The Depository has items from every federal department and agency, including the Department of Defense, Department of the Interior, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Homeland Security, the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the Supreme Court. Documents are selected from an item list.
