Public Libraries and Parks and Recreation are excited to invite the community to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Día de los Niños, Día de los Libros on Saturday, April 25, 2026. The celebration will kick off with a Neighborhood Parade at 9:00 a.m. and continue with activities and festivities until 3:00 p.m.
This year’s event will take place at Pavo Real Park and Complex, marking our very first time hosting Día at this location. We’re thrilled to use this space, as the complex offers a wide range of amenities and services that make it an ideal setting for a family-friendly celebration.
Over the past 30 years, so many of you have helped make Día de los Niños, Día de los Libros a beloved community tradition. We are truly grateful for your continued support. In honor of this milestone anniversary, we are planning our biggest and best Día celebration yet, and we hope you’ll join us once again.
At this time, we are seeking mascots, parade participants, activity booths and volunteers, and we welcome new ideas, themes, and partnerships that can help make this event even more special. If your department has a mascot that may be available to participate in Mascot Corner and possibly the parade, we would love to hear from you. The Pavo Real Complex offers ample indoor space, including dedicated areas where mascots can take breaks and cool off away from the sun.
