Classes & Continuing Education

These classes are free to attend and are informal.  They are available at all of our branches and throughout the community.  For more information, contact our Literacy Center at 212-0361.

Borderland High School Equivalency Program

This program assists qualified migrant students with test preparation, free class materials and exams. BHEP provides assistance for placement in universities, colleges, junior colleges, and vocational institutions, military services, other post-secondary activities or career positions and is funded by the U.S. Department of Education.

To qualify you need to be at least 16, not enrolled in high school and have worked in the agricultural area for 75 days in the last 2 years. Students can also qualify if their parents, grandparents or other family members who live in their household have worked in the agricultural area.
