J. Leighton Green, Jr. Cancer Resource Center
The El Paso Public Library and Rio Grande Cancer Foundation are partnering to make the J. Leighton Green, Jr. Cancer Resource Center more readily available to El Pasoans and their families fighting cancer. The Green House, as it called, is a collection of books and resources on the subject of cancer that will now be housed at EPPL facilities making them more accessible to the public. J. Leighton Green, Jr. was a prominent El Paso Attorney who passed away due to cancer. To honor his memory, the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation opened the original Green House Library in 1999. Books and information were purchased by the Foundation to allow individuals to research and find articles and books to help them through their Cancer Journey.
