Temporary Library Closures

Libraries Upgrade Technology

Big Improvements Are Coming to the Public Libraries!

Starting August 4, the El Paso Public Libraries is upgrading every location with cutting-edge technology designed to make your visits faster, safer, and even more enjoyable.

To make it happen, each branch will close temporarily—for about two weeks—as new equipment is installed, including RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) systems that will speed up checkouts and enhance security.

Check back for branch-specific closure dates, which may shift slightly as work progresses.
